To profile iOS 17 from Studio Pro Desktop, you will need to be using Mac 13.0 or above with the latest version of Xcode installed.


The GameBench desktop app supports the following platforms:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 (or later)
  • Mac OS X 10.8 (or later)
  • Ubuntu 12.04 (or later)

To allow Android profiling

  • To profile an Android device, your device must be running Android 4.1.2 or higher.

  • Mac OS X You must have Android File Transfer installed on your Mac computer.

To allow iOS profiling

We support iOS 8 or higher.

In order to allow the profiling of iOS devices on Windows or Linux platforms, the GameBench desktop app requires a set of files known as developer disk images. If the desktop app fails to download the files automatically, please follow the instructions here to download them manually to your computer.

  • Windows You must have iTunes installed on your computer in addition to the developer disk image files.
To get the files, follow these steps:
  1. Download this zip file from this online repository by clicking on the “Download” button and selecting “Direct Download” (if this link doesn’t work please contact us at

  2. Place it in an easy-to-find location, such as your User folder (e.g., C:\Users\Ralph).

  3. GameBench will ask you for the location of this zip file when you first try to profile an iOS device, or you can change the location at any point using the Settings menu. Choose the downloaded .zip file through the pop window and press “Confirm”.
